Loving where you live means supporting all things local, from retail and service businesses to charitable organizations, churches, schools and Swede teams. It’s what makes Gothenburg the special place that it is. Join us in 2025 as we strive to help everyone love all things local.
The Love Where You Live campaign is a direct result of the shop local survey the Gothenburg Chamber conducted in 2024. Through that survey, we learned that many Gothenburg residents don’t really know what’s available locally and likely don’t understand the effects that taking business out of town has on the community. We need businesses to:
Show your pride. We’re providing a Love Where You Live window cling so your business can be part of the effort to promote all things local — not just retail but services, agriculture, nonprofits and more.

Get involved. There will be events and activities all year. (The campaign is spelled out month by month on this calendar.) Participate in the activities. This campaign provides opportunities to drive traffic to your business, but only if you engage.
Sponsor the campaign. The more we emphasize the Love Where You Live campaign across Gothenburg, the more visibility and pride we develop. It’s not just a logo and branded trinkets. It’s about creating a local-first mindset. By sponsoring, you’re not only part of the process, but also part of the solution. Click HERE to see sponsorship information. Donate prizes. There are a number of Love Where You Live activities that encourage competition and provide both large and small prizes. If you can donate a small gift card (or several) or a product or service from your business, it will greatly reduce the cost to the Chamber. We will accept sponsorships throughout the Love Where You Live campaign. Your contribution will be used to purchase small, branded giveaway items related to your business, you get the first opportunity to sign up for activities throughout the year and your business name will be used with our promotions.
