Wild Horse Golf Club is a public course located in the heart of Nebraska, nearly halfway between the cities of Omaha and Denver on Interstate 80, Exit 211.  Wild Horse is revered as one of the premier public golf courses in the United States.  Several golf publications, such as Golf Digest, Golf Magazine and Golf Week have honored Wild Horse in annual ratings.  For more information or to make a tee-time, go to www.playwildhorse.com.  Amenities include a driving range, putting and chipping green, pro shop and snack bar.

It’s “Play Ball” in the summer for adults and youth with a strong, locally financed program. Four-plex ball fields are busy throughout the summer with local competitors as well as with teams from across the state.

Water sports are popular with tubing and canoeing on the Platte River. On Jeffrey, Midway and Johnson Lakes, each only twenty minutes from Gothenburg, enjoy sailing, power boating, water skiing and fishing to fill your summer days with fun.

If hunting is your preference, white tailed and mule deer and elk can be found along with pheasants, wild turkeys, doves, quail, ducks and geese.

The city swimming pool offers a place for summer fun in the sun. Receive instruction in swimming and workout with adult water aerobics. Have fun on the water slide too.
