The Gothenburg Improvement Company was established in 1961beginning an organized effort to recruit businesses and people to our community. Over the past 45+ years business and industry recruitment has changed considerably. There is increased pressure to stay competitive with every other community in Nebraska as well as other states. Professional staff in the Community Development Office provides support to the volunteers serving on the Board of Directors and as project leaders.
