National Pony Express Reride
June 26, 2008
Pony Express riders will cross the state of Nebraska carrying the mail east from Sacramento, CA to St. Joseph, MO stopping at the Midway Station located on the 96 Ranch, 2 miles south of I-80 on Hwy. 47. For more information contact the Chamber Office at 1-800-482-5520.

United Way Garden Walk
June 22, 2008
Tour begins at 2:00 p.m.
Tour local gardens and visit with local retailers about gardening supplies and hints.  See fountains and rock gardens in residential yard settings.

Pony Express Rodeo
July 3rd & 4th, 2008
Rodeo both nights. Mutton busting for kids with steer wrestling, bronc riding and calf roping for adults.  Fireworks display on July 4th at dusk.  Other sponsored events on July 4th include: funwalk and barbecue. 
Rodeo Arena at 27th & Lake Ave. Fireworks at Lake Helen Recreation Area, 22nd & Lake Ave.

Downtown Sidewalk Sales

Shining Light Celebration

Over 10,000 lights welcome you as you drive through the magical wonderland of sparkling displays visited annually by young and old alike.  Visit Santa, enjoy a hayrake ride and warm up with some apple cider.
